Celeste, Specialized In Beachwear, Joins Texbrasil

11/16/2022

Celeste, a sustainable beachwear brand with a Brazilian essence, is the newest company to join the Texbrasil Program (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency).

The brand launches a collection a year, inspired by the multiple colors and geometric shapes. During this period, the company produces an average of 4,000 clothing items, about 400 items per month. Celeste’s main successes are bikinis, bathing suits, and kimonos.

Its products use innovative raw materials that generate the least possible impact on the environment and celebrate female beauty and the story that different bodies tell. All its production is outsourced and is carried out in local communities in the countryside of the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais.

Ju Spirandelli, one of the founders of the brand, believes that joining the Texbrasil Program will strengthen Celeste’s name in the national and, mainly, international market. “We hope to participate in training courses, trade fairs, business roundtables and learn more and more about foreign trade. Our expectation is to contribute more and more to  strengthen the Brazilian economy together with other companies in the industry and to present to the world a beachwear of Brazilian design, with quality and sustainability,” he said.

The project was born in 2021, when Manu Barreto, André Spirandelli and Ju Spirandelli, during the pandemic, saw it was necessary to do something different from their lives and that connects fashion with sustainability.
