Check out what took place at the 32nd edition of Casa de Criadores

12/17/2012

Stylists of all kinds, whether veterans or newbies, showed their A/W 2013 collections at the 32nd edition of Casa de Criadores (House of Creators), which came to an end last Wednesday (12/13), with support from Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program), developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). As an opportunity for fashion artists to divulge their work and anticipate the official opening of CdC, on Sunday, a large fashion show colored the streets of downtown Sao Paulo – the Fashion Mob.

And for the official opening of the event, Lucas Barros, from Alagoas, debuted in CdC showing the Northeast Region of Brazil. With sacred images, geometric designs and 27m of mesh (the dress that opened the show), the stylist, who is also an architect, joined the regional cultures of his land to an  international modeling, with a Japanese touch, in dresses made with sweatshirt, synthetic leather and knitting.

Stylist Gabriela Sakate bets on a whole black and white A/W collection. With a mixture of materials ranging from transparencies to rubber fabrics, the stylist shows a well finished collection with minimalist shape. Meanwhile, Rober Dognani showed a futuristic collection with asymmetries, clippings and abstract details. Weider Silverio also used futurism in a collection with only orange, white and black in knitting mixed with synthetic leather and wood print.

Inspired by the Grand Circus fire in 1961, in Niteroi, Arnaldo Ventura showed an A/W collection with ruffles and volumes contrasting with tight garments worn by boys and woof that makes the role of pantyhose, all in black, white and green. Black and white are also the colors of Jacinto’s collection, who exhibited suits that resemble those used in the 90s, but sleeveless and full of strategic cutouts.

Juss stood out as one of the most interesting male brands of the line-up of this edition. The brand suggests pants, sweatshirts, jackets and shorts made with tapestry, jacquard and twill on a hipster shape. Based on the disco vibe, Fernando Cozendey showed a collection with a lot of shiny lycra and fringe in the arms, legs and sometimes in the entire piece. And coming from rock, Ale Brito showed sexy outfits with open suits and jackets. Leather and plush had a strong presence in the pieces of the collection.

Soft and uncomplicated pieces compose Karin Feller’s A/W collection, and in contrast to her collection, Mark Greiner, in partnership with artisans of Ceara, created a dense fashion show full of arabesques, using feathers, crochet, plumes and stones applications. With prints of oranges and flowers, Danilo Costa showed garments somewhat light using interesting colors. Jadson Raniere, inspired by birds, feathered outfits with feathers printed in blazers, dresses, blouses and pants.

Walerio Araujo, an attraction apart of Casa de Criadores, showed an ultra-sexy A/W collection. The image of a woman appears almost like a bat, with outfits pasted with velvet, leather and laminated material. Otherwise, marked waist and full skirts create the most romantic image of the collection.  Besides the main fashion shows, the final of the Ponto Zero competition also takes place on the last day of the event.
