Círculo and AHLMA make a sustainable facial cleansing collab
Sustainable fashion is already a reality in Brazil, with companies adhering to processes that reduce environmental impact, whether in manufacturing or in reusable design. This is the case of AHLMA and Círculo S/A, which joined together in a collab to make facial cleansing ecodiscs.
Replacing the cotton models that are discarded after use, the crochet version made in a partnership by the brands can be washed and reused. AHLMA, a vegan brand that was born with the objective of creating sustainable pieces, invited Círculo, a Brazilian yarn manufacturer, to develop supplying the material for making the discs.
“Our partnership started with the creation of a collection of five knitting pieces made by Estudio Artii. Then came the idea of reusable crochet disks for makeup removal, a sustainable alternative to cotton disks, papers and wet wipes”, explains Osni de Oliveira Junior, marketing director at Círculo S/A.
Osni also says that the threads are made of raw, natural cotton, and are produced in an ecological way, without dyeing or bleaching. AHLMA was responsible for finishing the product.
In addition to the sustainable footprint, the creation also has the proposal to support handicraft work, a specialty of Círculo S/A. “We managed to make a very interesting partnership, which elevates the status of manual making to the level of art”, celebrates Osni.
The set with four ecopads costs BRL 28.00 and is available at AHLMA physical stores and e-commerce.
