Thinking about training new artisans in Brazil, the Círculo line brand, which is part of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – announced more than 700 vacancies for free crochet classes.

The classes will take place during the Artesanal Nordeste tradeshow, which takes place in Olinda, in Pernambuco, between the 1st and 4th of September.

The tradeshow seeks to train and stimulate the creativity of people who enjoy, make and live from art, crafts and manual arts, a concept in line with what Círculo promotes. For the classes, the company brought together five teachers from its team of artisans to teach some of the creative possibilities of crochet free of charge.

60 vacancies will be offered for each of the 12 groups. Classes take place three times a day, with a varied schedule for those who want to learn how to produce both fashion and decoration items. And all materials will also be made available by Círculo S/A to participants.

In four days of event, it is expected that 720 people will be trained by the brand. “Our team works strongly in the education and professionalization of handmade work, so that more and more people can be inspired and create their manual projects, whether as a hobby, as a therapeutic activity or as a source of income. Therefore, events such as Artesanal Nordeste, which encourages this skill and the qualification of handicrafts, are very important for Círculo S/A”, evaluates the brand’s Marketing director, Osni de Oliveira Júnior.

On the first day of the event, September 1, there will be classes to create a bikini, dolls and a sousplat. On the second day, September 2, it will be time to learn how to make a crop top, a bucket hat and amigurumis. On September 3, participants will be able to follow the step by step of a flower, an amigurumi bird and a crop top. And on the last day, September 4, different classes will be offered to develop two types of crop top and a bag.
