Colombiamoda 2026 strengthens Brazilian fashion’s presence in Latin America
Brazilian participation in Colombiamoda 2026 strengthened the presence of Brazilian fashion in the Latin American market. From July 29 to 31, companies supported by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), showcased their collections, held business meetings and expanded their relationships with international buyers. During the trade show, approximately USD 200,000 in deals were closed, with lhe contacts established expected to lead to new business negotiations in the coming months.
Colombia currently ranks 18th among the leading destinations for Brazilian women’s fashion exports, underscoring the importance of Colombiamoda as a strategic platform for expanding the presence of Brazilian companies in the region. Participation in the event also enabled brands to prospect for new clients, keep abreast of trends and strengthen their position in a priority market for the industry.
According to Gabriella Sampaulo, Texbrasil’s Commercial Promotion Coordinator, the trade show plays an important role in the internationalization strategy of Brazilian companies. “Colombiamoda brings together qualified buyers from several Latin American countries, creating opportunities to generate business and strengthen the presence of Brazilian brands in the region. In addition to the immediate results, the contacts made during the trade show have the potential to develop into new business partnerships in the coming months.”
