Colombiamoda + Colombiatex: brands were excited with results
The joint Colombiamoda + Colombiatex trade show was attended by 14 Brazilian brands: Breed Fit, Chargeurs PCC Brasil, Drazzo, Fakini, Gustavo Eyewear, Joanne, Kalimo, Kyly, Marinela Carvalho, Mirasul, Office Collection, Sawary Jeans, Serotonina and Verona. The mission was organized by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — carried out through a partnership betweenApexBrasil (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments) and Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association).
During the event, which took place from July 25 to 27, USD 638,000 in business was conducted, with an expected return of USD 3.9 million throughout the year. The brands made a total of 632 business contacts. The industries present include textiles, supplies, casual fashion, resort, jeanswear, children’s, fitness, beachwear, underwear, accessories and footwear.
The company Marinela Carvalho had its expectations exceeded during the fair, according to its representative Manoela Ferreira. “We made contacts with several countries, such as the United States, Colombia, Ecuador and Costa Rica. It was a great opportunity to evaluate the international market so we can work on our pricing construction”, adds Manoela.
Tatiane Persuhn of Kyly Group emphasized the importance of the Program’s support for the company’s participation. “We are very satisfied with the attention of the team during the organization of the event, we intend to continue participating in fairs by Texbrasil”, explains Tatiana.
Anderson Pimentel, from Chargeurs PCC Brasil, highlighted the importance of the company being at Colombiatex, as it specializes in inputs. “It was a moment of market learning and the beginning of opening negotiations to have a local agent. We want to strengthen the relationship with the members of the Program to promote our brand, projects and products”, he adds.
The honorary consul of Brazil in Medellin, Sérgio Escobar, was present on all days of Colombiamoda + Colombiatex, honoring Brazilian brands and strengthening trade relations between Brazil and Colombia. Another high point of the fair was a tribute by the event organizers to the companies Office Collection, Fakini and Chargeurs PCC Brasil, for their dedication and work for the development and innovation of the textile industry.
