Found more than 20 years ago, Plié consolidated itself in Brazil focusing on comfort and highlighting its innovative shapes. Now, the brand counts with Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) to leverage its international operations.

Since its creation, the lingerie brand has sought to innovate in its creations, reaching a fabrication with microfiber that does not require side seams. The solutions have evolved over the years and today, in addition to the basic line, Plié has body correction modelers, as well as pieces for the fitness, children, maternity, and plus size segments.

“Plié is known for its innovative shapes, that put together comfort and technology. Since its creation, this has always been the brand’s main challenge”, explains the marketing manager Marília Lopes.

With its own production, the brand has 16 stores, in addition to four franchises. “With the opening of physical stores, we are expanding our product mix. Today, in addition to modeling and non-compression lingerie, we also work with a fitness, sleepwear and loungewear line”, adds the executive.

Plié also works internationally and is present on all continents, according to Marília. With the Program, the goal is to grow even more this operation. “By joining Texbrasil, we believe that we have the help and needed guidance to develop the best strategies to expand our business in the international market”, adds Marília.

The brand’s first endorsement was at Curve NY, an important underwear event in the United States. “The tradeshow allowed us to get to know the American market better, to analyze similar products, as well as to get in touch with several regional buyers”, explained the national sales manager, Samuel Vogel.
