The Santana Textiles Group holds a prominent position among denim textile industry manufacturers and has consolidated its expertise in manufacturing and development of basic, unique and innovative denim fabrics. The Santana Textiles Group first began manufacturing hammocks, a segment in which it was a leader in Brazil in the late 1970s. In the early ’80s, Fiacao Santana was opened as the first Brazilian manufacturer in the spinning segment that was completely geared towards the open-end process for cotton yarn production.

In 1995, the company verticalized and added a new segment, weaving, and began to produce denim fabrics. This was the same year that the first Santana Textiles Group textile unit opened, a factory in the hinterlands of the state of Ceara with a production capacity of approximately 3 million meters/month of fabric. In 2007, the company opened its first textile unit outside of Brazil, in Provincia del Chaco, Argentina, establishing its international expansion activities. The Santana Textiles Group has a commercial presence across Brazil through one of the country’s largest commercial teams. Since November 2015, Denimburg, one of the world’s most modern denim factories, located in Texas, U.S.A., has been a part of the Santana Textiles Group.
