Children’s Club, a show geared towards the kids and infants segment with apparel, accessories, footwear and toy brands, is being held at the Javits Convention Center in New York City (U.S.A.) from July 31 to August 2. Texbrasil – the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – is supporting the participation of Santa Catarina-based Cristina Fashion Brands at this edition.

Founded in Blumenau in 1970, Cristina Fashion currently has four proprietary brands – Quimby, Up Baby, Gloss and Bee Loop – serving everyone from newborns up to teens, in addition to holding the license for the Hello Kitty® character for over 12 years. The company distributes its own brands nationwide in Brazil and already exports to various countries in Europe, Africa and North, Central and Latin America. “Trade shows are great opportunities for new contacts and to establish business,” says Joseli Schwanke, who works in the company’s export department.

With a belief in the potential of the North American market, the brand hopes to achieve the same success it has gained in the Brazilian market in foreign territory: “we see our presence at the Children’s Club show as a chance to provide even more visibility to brands and to start to generate more substantial business,” adds Joseli.

The international show, which welcomes retailers, distributors and small, medium and large sales representatives, in addition to having an interesting mix of national and international exhibitors, is held four times a year, in January, March, August and October.
