Cristina Fashion Brands attends 83rd edition of Pitti Bimbo
From June 23 to 25, in Florence, Italy, Pitti Bimbo, a kids and teens apparel and accessories trade show, will welcome Brazilian brand Cristina Fashion Brands, with the support of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
Founded in Blumenau (SC) by Michel Sabbagh, a Lebanese immigrant, in 1970, Cristina Fashion Brands has grown by offering quality clothing for children and adults. Over time, it established its place as one of the country’s biggest textile companies. Cristina has currently strengthened its place in the kids segment by now only working in this market, with the Hello Kitty (which it has licensed for over 12 years), Quimby, Gloss, Loopy de Loop and Up Baby brands, distributing its creations across Brazil and to countries all over the world.
The brand is an experienced attendee at international shows, and at this edition it expects to make good contacts and boost its international recognition. Debora Lunardello, from the companies import and export department, says that “physical presentation at an international show is fundamental for products to be seen as a whole and up-close, bringing the customer closer to our brands.”
Pitti Bimbo is considered one of the most important international fashion events for kids and teens as well as an excellent incubator of lifestyle trends for this segment. For this edition, 479 collections from various brands worldwide are expected, with 50% of them coming from abroad. At the last S/S edition, the show drew over 5,600 buyers, with a total of a little under 10,000 visitors.
