Date is set for the next SPFW
The date and venue have been set for the 43rd Sao Paulo Fashion Week: From March 13 to 17, 2017, the city of Sao Paulo will welcome the biggest names in Brazilian fashion at the Fundacao Bienal in Ibirapuera Park. The event line-up contains newcomer Fabiana Milazzo, a Minas Gerais-based designer and member of Texbrasil – the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
The fashion week used to be held during April and November, but is now officially debuting a new format using the “see now, buy now” concept, in line with the retail industry calendar. The idea is for collection show at the fashion shows to be quickly available for purchase in stores. In order for the launch to take place at the same time on the runway and in stores, labels will continue to hold showrooms for buyers and the press in the months leading up to the fashion shows – exactly as is currently done – but they will adopt a more restricted privacy policy in relation to the internet.
