Despi makes new contacts at Swim Collective NY
In August, another Swim Collective edition was held in New York, a beach and resort fashion trade show. It is a B2B marketplace that receives the main buyers from large retailers of the United States to meet the exhibiting brands. This edition was attended by Despi.
Despi is a beach fashion brand that was supported by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Garment Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency).
It was the first time the brand attended Swim Collective NY, making within the event 12 contacts in all, with direct North American buyers; including 9 new contacts.
The opportunity of being at the event for the first time was celebrated by Despi, who was satisfied with the new contacts it made, according to brand agent Natasha Filios Esteves. ‘Swim Collective NY is seen as an outstanding bridge to reach the North American market, where we intend to expand more and more’, says Natasha.
