Dragao Fashion House kicks off in Fortaleza with international coverage

Dragao Fashion House is taking place in Fortaleza from May 7 to 10. The 16th edition of the event will include special coverage by seven journalists from countries such as England, Russia, Argentina and the United States, who are coming to the country at the invitation of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

They are: Laura Yiannakou (WGSN – England); Natasha Meyukh (Fashion Collection – Russia); Maria Gabriela Fortunato and Thibaud Joel Jean-Jacques (Fox Collection TV – Argentina); Mercedes Sanchez and Adriel de Jesus Gutierrez (Daily News – USA/Latin America). The journalists will take an up-close look at the latest and innovations in the industry and will have a special schedule during their time in Brazil.

The event is notable for gathering renowned designers and new talent in Brazilian fashion in just one place. There will be over 20 fashion shows, with a special presence by labels that celebrate the culture and heritage of Brazil’s northeast region in their creations, such as Lino Villaventura, Melk Z-da, Weider Silveiro and Vitorino Campos. The Fortaleza Passenger Port Terminal was chosen to host the S/S 2016 season, which will also feature talks and workshops with area specialists during the days of the event.
