Dudalina opens store in Stockholm with Texbrasil and Apex-Brasil support

03/31/2015

This Tuesday afternoon (March 31) will surely be a milestone for Dudalina. After opening points of sale in Italy, Ecuador and Panama, the Santa Catarina-based company will open its first store in Sweden. Täby Centrum, a Stockholm shopping center with stores like Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, G-Star Raw and Levi’s, was chosen for the location. The initiative is being supported by Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

This is not the brand’s first time in the Swedish city. In August 2014, it was one of the members of the Brazil and the Midnight Sun project, also supported by Texbrasil and Apex-Brasil, which brought twelve Brazilian companies to a pop-up store inside of the Stockholm Market multibrand shop.

Support is being lent as part of a strategy to help companies in a more individual manner, according to their plans for internationalization. Texbrasil and Apex-Brasil have supported the brand since it opened its first international store in Milan in 2012. “We want to have a closer and closer relationship with industry companies, especially those that have solid internationalization strategies like Dudalina,” says Lilian Kaddissi, CEO of Texbrasil.

By the end of 2015, Dudalina plans to have 10 international points of sale and has already announced Panama City and Guayaquil, Ecuador, as its next targets. Expansion of the Milan unit is also in the works: the store will soon have 100m² of area and a wider range of products.
