Elle China publishes editorial dedicated to Brazilian fashion
The January edition of Elle China contains an editorial with eleven names from Brazilian fashion under the title “The New Look.” The eight pages feature designers Gina Guerra (GIG), Patricia Bonaldi (Patricia Bonaldi and Pat Bo), Daniela Sabbag (Wasabi), Lili Sampredo, Marcelo Quadros, Cecilia Prado, Patricia Motta, Debora Mangabeira, accessories designers Tatiana Arrigoni (T.Arrigoni) and Paula Proushan (Blue Bird), and the director of Helen Rodel, Guilherme Thofehrn.
The editorial was shot while the group was in Shanghai in late 2014 to take part in the Discover the Brazilian Originality Beyond Trends event, held by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency in partnership with Texbrasil (Abit’s internationalization program), Abest and Abicalcados. Among other activities, the brands participated in a fashion show for 120 opinion-makers at the exclusive House of Roosevelt space.
One of the goals of the initiative was to bring the Brasil Beyond concept to Asia, to show that Brazilian fashion goes beyond expectations and is inspired by art, music and cuisine, representing the plural culture of a continental country. The Asian country was chosen based on its potential for the industry, since it has the second largest fashion market and one of the fastest growing in the world.
