Fashion show with creations from designers of Casa de Criadores is one of Colombiatex’s attractions

Brazil is being honored at Colombiatex de las Américas 2018, one of the world’s largest textile shows, being held in Medellin (Colombia) from January 23 to 25, and the country is attending with a delegation of 40 companies. The country’s participation in the event includes a series of activities, including fashion shows with creations by designers Heloisa Faria and Rober Dognani, curated by Andre Hidalgo, from the Casa de Criadores (House of Creators) fashion week. The presentations are taking place on the first day at 3 PM for the press and guests, while they will be held for the general public at 11 AM and 3 PM on the other days.

The looks are made using supplies from 25 of the 28 Brazilian companies taking part in the event with the support of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Rober Dognani’s creations include dresses, jumpsuits, shorts and vests for a fun woman filled with attitude. He is also promising special approaches to the use and benefits of fabrics such as denim. While designer Heloisa Faria developed clothing that can be worn at any time, with sophisticated construction and finishes, without sacrificing comfort and versatility. There are long skirts, dresses, blazers and caftans in materials such as cotton and denim.

Brazil’s presence at the show also includes companies making components and machines that are participants in the Abimaq (Brazilian Association of the Machinery and Equipment Industry) Brazil Machinery Solutions project and the Assintecal (Brazilian Association of Components for Leather, Footwear and Artifacts Companies) ByBrasil project. Take a look at the companies participating in the fashion show:
