The date has already been set for the S/S 2015 season. The Official Brazilian Fashion Calendar will start with Sao Paulo Fashion Week (SPFW), running from March 31 to April 4. Next, it is time for Fashion Rio: from April 8 to 12. The third edition of the Bossa Nova Fashion and Business Show, which is the result of the Fashion Business and Rio-à-Porter events being joined together, will take place in parallel with Fashion Rio, but will end one day earlier.

Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) member brands will show their collections at this year’s fashion weeks in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Colcci, Gloria Coelho and newcomer Patricia Motta grabbed the spotlight on the second to the last day of SPFW, when übermodel Gisele Bündchen returned to the runway for Colcci, while Fashion Rio featured F/W collections from the Adriana Degreas, Alessa and Victor Dzenk labels.

For the upcoming seasons, two labels that are members of Texbrasil’s talent incubator, BtoBe (Brazilians to Be), will be the latest to take part in SPFW: Gabriela Sakate and Der Metropol. The young designers were recently in London and Paris with six other talented designers, where they showed at Who’s Next Pret-a-Porter Paris – 2014, at The Laundry space and at the Brazilian embassy as part of an activity developed by the Program to grow their brands.
