Gralias launches its S/S 2016 campaign, filled with colors and prints

‘Achar pelo em ovo’ (‘Find hair on an egg’), ‘chutar o balde’ (‘kick the bucket’), ‘tomar chá de cadeira’ (‘have a chair tea’)… These phrases, which only seem to make any sense in Portuguese (any Brazilian knows that respectively they mean nitpicking, losing control and having to wait a really long time), are the theme of the S/S 2016 campaign from Gralias, a member brand of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). The label, which belongs to young designers Julia Guglielmetti and Grazi Cavalcanti, of Sao Paulo, Brazil, decided to play with Brazilian idioms to give life to its collection.

Pink, orange, red, blue, purple and sea green are the main colors featured, forming abstract multicolored and joyful designs. The print for “find a hair on an egg,” an expression for finding problems where there are none, was shown as a funny cartoon.

The textures of embroidered fabrics enrich the collection along with rounded stone appliqués, lace and fringe, which reinforce the unusual feel of these loose and very short garments. The campaign was shot by Leo Neves, with makeup by Bel Luscher, featuring model Natasha Borantin, of Joy.
