Textile scraps. This was the raw material that once again brought Haco and Instituto Orbitato together in a partnership whose results were on display at Febratex 2016. The project, which began before the event, consisted of creating panels using waste produced by weaving companies, which was unable to be reused by the company, which is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

“When we looked inside of Haco, we saw that there was a large amount of waste material from the production process, which is beautiful material that can no longer be used within the logic of normal reuse,” says Celaine Refosco, the director of Instituto Orbitato.

The project was born of a demand to best use the scraps generated by the machines and from a need to create a signature for the company’s stand at the show. “We thought about talking about the modern Haco, which launches products and serves over 8,000 customers, but we also wanted to talk about the Haco that makes a 100% cotton product and tries to do some of this natural recuperation,” explained Bruno Brandao, the company’s marketing manager.
