Hering launches special collection for International Women’s Day
Brazilian clothing and retail company Hering and visual artist Verena Smit have teamed up to launch a special capsule collection in honor of International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8. The launch includes 100% cotton T-shirts with messages of self-love, togetherness, and female empowerment.
The celebration of the Women’s Month at Hering, which is part of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Exports and Investments Promotion Brazilian Agency) — also brings the participation of the brand’s employees telling their stories.
“We invited people who have a connection with the brand and a history of female togetherness to star in our campaign,” says Fabíola Guimarães, Director of Brands at Cia. Hering. In addition, when purchasing a Hering + Verena Smit t-shirt, 50% of the sales profit will go to Rede Mulher Empreendedora, a non-profit organization focused on social causes, public policies, and women in situations of social vulnerability.
“I created messages that convey self-love, unity, and female empowerment in the well-known Hering t-shirts”, explains Verena Smit.
