Inspiramais: Texbrasil invites international journalists and buyers to event on innovative materials
On July 16, two international journalists and the buyers landed in the city of São Paulo. At the invitation of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – the group is attending the Inspiramais design and innovative materials show, being held July 17 and 18, and they will also visit showrooms and Brazilian brand stores as part of their business agenda.
Monica Felix and Dario Varella (Argentina), of Moda y Estilo TV; Guillermo Alfonso, of El Nuevo Siglo Bogotá; and buyers Antonio Vital (Portugal), Manuela Terzagui (Argentina) and Mora Becerra (Argentina), respectively representing the Vital & Relvas, OSX and Jazmin Chebar stores, are checking out the latest at this second 2018 edition of the event. For the first time the show is divided among tanneries, fabrics, accessories, functional items, heels and soles.
Among the exhibitors are seven Texbrasil companies: Berlan, Britannia, Innovativ, Modele, Sancris, Tecnolu, Rhodi, Hak Solucoes Texteis, Sancris, Oficina Lamparina, Studio Aurum, Estudio Icertain, Estudio Capim and Dash Studio. In addition to the stands, the buyers and journalists will have access to talks, interactive spaces, visits guided by the show’s creator, Walter Rodrigues, and the show’s traditional exhibit of materials.
Laura Resende, Growth Manager for Britannia, explains that the event is very positive for the textile maker not only because it features the company’s launches, but also because the team learns about trends in fashion and consumer behavior.
“I think that Inspiramais represents the ideal moment for us to welcome our customers and the press and make contact with new companies in Brazil and South America,” she says.
According to Lilian Kaddissi, Executive Manager at Texbrasil, the show is a chance to show buyers and the international media the best of our industry. “It is different than other events because it focuses a lot on innovative materials and design, aspects that show the added value that Brazilian products have to offer. The Program’s large textile companies are showing their launches and design studios also have a dedicated space to show their prints.”
She also adds “this year, our co-located programming is also very rich and includes business trips to companies in the market that have offices in SãoPaulo. We hope to do business and present Brazil as a center for Latin American textiles,” says Lilian in closing.
