From June 21 to 23, Sao Paulo Expo will host Salao Moda Brasil, geared towards the beachwear, fitnesswear and underwear segments, gathering over 120 exhibitors at this edition. Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), is supporting the event with two international journalists and three buyers.

Raquel Alves, of Ayre (Angola); Pedro Fernandez, of Lenceria Giselle (Paraguay); and Mario Oswaldo Lara, of D’Christian Maryuri (Ecuador) are the buyers that will come to Brazil to see the Texbrasil Program member brands that are confirmed at the event: Cyann, De Chelles, Delfa, Hope Lingerie, Liz, Mash, Meias Lupo, Recco Lingerie, Marcyn, Recco Praia, Rosset, Rhodia, Terlizzi, TriFil, Zanotti and 2 Rios. Journalists Horacio del Burgo, of Punto y Seguido (Argentina), and Thais Nascimento, of Underlines (England), will also take part in a special program to discover the best of Brazilian fashion. In addition to visiting the show, the opinion-makers will see the Puket and TriFil factories.

Paulo Chelles, of De Chelles, says that participating in the show always brings in good results for the company. “We are able to grow relations with our customers and share technical information on products. At this edition, we will have the ‘Summer Girl’ collection, the beachwear line and the ‘Every day, all the time… it’s lingerie day’ intimates line,” he says. Matheus Fagundes, of 2 Rios says that the event is already on the brand’s calendar of launches and that this season, they will launch their ‘Sensitive’ collection, more basic and functional, as well as the ‘Trendy’ collection, with printed products and a bra cup geared towards physical activity. “I think that taking part in Salao Moda Brasil promotes our brand at the national and international levels. Launching new collections and the fashion show also help the sales team and customers to visualize the concept created,” he explains.

Salao Moda Brasil also has a lecture cycle that will discuss different topics in the world of fashion. On Sunday, June 21, Livia Medeiros, of Rosset, will talk about F/W 2016 lingerie trends. Bruna Ortega, of WGSN, will discuss this topic on Monday, June 22. On Tuesday, June 23, architect Paula Posser will talk about architecture as a factor in store attraction.
