International buyers invited by Texbrasil fulfill agenda in São Paulo and Fortaleza and close deals
From July 30 to August 1, three international buyers took part in business agendas in Fortaleza and São Paulo. During the trip, the guests of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex- (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – did over USD 1 million in business, including deals that were finalized and that are expected to be finalized over the next twelve months.
Regina Batista, of Italian retailer Lunas Íntimo, Isaias Osvaldo La Bourdette, of Ann Chery (Colombia), and Flávio Suphinatti, of Água Menta (Dominican Republic), took meetings with Brazilian companies including Penna, Vicunha, Kalimo, Lua Morena and Cholet in both cities. In addition to this agenda, the buyers attended the Ceara Fashion Trade event, held August 1 to 3 in Fortaleza.
At the show, four Texbrasil participants showed their latest to the public and to the international buyers: Danka, Terlizzi, Delfa and Digitale. The companies said that they had done USD 150,000 in sales. Sales expectations for the next 12 months are also excellent: USD 2.2 million.
According to Lilian Kaddissi, Executive Manager at Texbrasil, the guests fulfilled a rich agenda, in two major hubs of the Brazilian industry. “Our guests not only got in touch with companies at Ceara Fashion Trade, which is in its third edition, is regionally significant and brings together a good selection of brands and companies, they were also invited to showrooms and textile and beachwear and fitnesswear retail stores chosen according to each of their profiles. The experiences were designed to increase business opportunities,” she explains.
