Kalimo, Savyon and Berlan take part in Premiere Vision NY
The Première Vision NY show, the North American version of the traditional Parisian event, will be held in New York City on July 17 and 18. This F/W 2018 edition of the international show will be attended by three members of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
Textile companies Kalimo, Savyon and Berlan have packed their bags and are ready to set up their stands at the event, which provides a preview of trends in fabrics, design, supplies and accessories for the season, promising to gather 300 industry exhibitors from around the world at this edition.
Kalimo has taken part in the show for the last two years. According to Talita Khalifeh, the company’s Commercial Export Manager, the textile maker has gained more space in the American market with each edition of PV NY.
“It’s a market with a profile and a demand for our products. For this edition, we’re launching a striped line using dyed yarn, with colors geared towards the foreign market and unique weaves and fabrics, in addition to a wide collection of digital prints,” she says. And she adds that: “we have the highest expectations.”
Lilian Kaddissi, the Program’s Executive Manager, says that imports of Brazilian textile products to the USA reached USD 3.7 million in 2017. “It’s definitely a market with a lot of opportunities, which is perfect for our internationalization strategy. And with companies like the ones we are taking to this edition of PV NY, we intend to further increase these numbers,” she explains.
