Karsten launches dining collection with Andean inspirations

10/30/2015
Inspired by the American Andes, the new Karsten 2015 collection of dining textiles features the following lines: “Celebration,” geared towards commemorations and events that demand a higher degree of sophistication; “Always Clean,” with technology to make cleaning easier; “Everyday,” with products used day-to-day and personally; and “Ecobela,” with a more rustic look and a sustainable appeal. Below are the details of each line being released by the brand, which is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).Celebration: With an “Easy Wash” finish, items in this line are easy to clean, keeping dirt from sticking between fibers. The Jacquard features tapestry as made by the Andean people or the design found on Hispanic church windows, designed using dyed fiber.Always Clean: Practical and economic are some of the features of this easy-to-clean line. The finish has an element that makes items resistant to liquid food stains. The American Andes are depicted using a contemporary mix of the urban, with pubs and wineries, and the native folk art of the indigenous people and their headdresses.

Everyday: Traditional and decorative, featuring 100% cotton fabrics and tablecloths that use ant repellant technology in the fibers of the fabric. According to the brand, this product is safe for children and pets, since it does not kill ants, but rather makes them uncomfortable. The items in this line have everyday designs of the Andean people, such as fruit, flowers, cactuses and traditional Colombian coffee.

Ecobela: This line uses a more environmentally-friendly proposal, with 100% cotton fabric made using mostly recycled cotton, giving the tablecloth a rustic look.
