Karsten, homewear company located in Vale do Itajaí, in Santa Catarina, launches a winter collection with the theme ‘‘Aconchego’’, which seeks to materialize well-being in fabrics. The goal is to value the sensation of touch by combining beauty and technology, bringing functionality to everyday life. ‘‘Touch is considered the decisive attribute of consumer choice, according to a survey carried out with more than 1000 consumers in 2019, hence the importance of this sensory characteristic’’, says Leoni Pasold, from the Karsten Innovation Center.

The company, founded in 1882, also operates in the international market, as part of Texbrasil (Program for the Internationalization of the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency).

According to Ana Moreira, product development coordinator, one of the differentials of the fabrics is the greater absorption power with the combination of technologies that allows the production of ultra soft fabrics and towels with high absorption power.

“We are always looking for technologies to bring functional and useful products, with beauty and refinement, creating true experiences at home”, details Ana. She completes: ‘‘There was a time when consumers wanted something just because it was on trend, but in recent years they want to feel ‘at home’. Comfort encompasses every sensory experience.”
