Latest collection from FARM features genderless fashion
FARM is launching its first genderless collection, called Glitch Tropical, which pays homage to the genderless fashion movement. The collection, which goes on sale at stores this November, had a special pre-launch at Festival Meca, held in Inhotim on November 5 and 6, where the brand – a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – parked its trailer.
Inspired by the vaporwave artistic movement – connected to the aesthetics of the 1980s and 1990s, video games, technology and Japanese influences – items in the new collection are filled with elements of post-modern culture. Transparencies, patches, transparent screens and a mix of multicolor prints create a scenario filled with humor, from tie-dye to the Age of Disco.
Metallic items such as roller skates, trousers and jeans shirts join sequined bathing suits in references to videogame culture, in pixelated and ultra-colored prints. With a pop visual aesthetic, the collection can be worn by women as well as men, with no distinction between gender.
