Líquido launches lycra protection mask
Brazilian swimwear brand Líquido announced the launch of protection masks for social use. The item, which will be made out of Lycra thread, has SolarMax technology, which offers protection against UV rays, in addition to quality and comfort.
As a participant of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Association of the Textile and Clothing Industry) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency) – the company also said it will donate the items to communities in need.
The pieces are washable, double-sided (one side printed and the other in black) and are recommended for adults and children aged over 10. Production takes place at the Líquido factory in São Paulo, which has been adapted to follow the hygiene and social distance recommendations required by health agencies.
The brand is also donating the items. According to the company, for each kit of two masks sold by Líquido’s e-commerce, one piece will be donated to an institution that supports communities and rest homes in São Paulo. To date, three thousand masks have been donated. “We want to encourage and share good examples within the textile chain”, says Adriana Morasco, South America vice president of The Lycra Company.
