Magic NY: Companies close event with more than USD 1.5 million in revenue

Two Brazilian brands were represented at the first edition of the Magic NY trade show and have many contacts and good business results in their luggage. They are: Zinzane e Planet Sea, both are members of Texbrasil (The Internationalization Program of the Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Together, the two companies grossed more than $ 1.5 million between direct sales at the event and business expectations for the next 12 months. And in the three days of the trade show, the brands made at least 80 business contacts.

After Magic, a traditional trade show for apparel, shoes, and accessories in Las Vegas, USA, ceased its activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it returned with a vengeance in September 2021 and also launched the New York edition. The event is organized by Informa Market and focuses on contemporary luxury brands and also showcases current fashion trends.

For Lilian Kaddissi, Executive Manager of the Texbrasil program, the results show that companies and events are on the right track. “Although we realized in a different scenario and with many changes that it is possible to strengthen and promote business in the international market and that Brazil’s presence at such important trade shows as Magic is very strategic for the country”, she analyzes.
