Malharia Princesa is the newest member of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) — the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Exports and Investments).

The company produces fabrics for underwear, sports and beachwear. They currently have a line with 60 different bases, including lace, tulle, and lace. Its headquarters and factory are in Joinville (SC) and the brand works its production in a vertical way, with knitting, dyeing, printing, and finishing solutions. Among other technologies used are rotary pigment and transfer printing.

Nicole Schuetzler, Managing Director of the company, believes that the partnership with Texbrasil will extend its participation to new markets. “Our aim for the near future is that exports account for 15% of our sales,” the executive stated.

Malharia Princesa was founded in 1951, in Santa Catarina, as a specialist in nightwear, underskirts and nightgowns, many of them hand-painted. In the 1980s, they began to work with textile processing, diversifying the clothing segments. In the 1990s, they started the production of vertical fabrics, producing fabrics for underwear, knitwear, dyeing, printing, and its own finishing.
