Meet the 13 new Texbrasil members

06/11/2015

During the months of April and May 2015, thirteen new brands joined Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). In the textile segment is the Adatex spinning mill and the Fakini and YD Confecções knit fabric companies. In the services sector are Oficina Lamparina, Elaia and Niu, three design and print studios. In the menswear and womenswear area are the Tigresse and Detrick brands, respectively. In beachwear are the Bikiny Society and Beach & Country companies. In kidswear is Mini Us. In fitnesswear, Vestem.

Adriana Ferraz, the founder of Oficina Lamparina, already has experience with exports, but she is looking forward to exhibiting at different trade shows and gaining new clients through Program participation. “We were in the United States for the USA Print Source show and we sold around 10 prints. From here on out, we want to outline a business plan with the Program’s help that is geared towards internationalization and, in the meantime, we are working on our image in the Brazilian market,” she says.

For Bruno Hansen, of the Elaia print studio, bringing Brazilian products abroad means adding value to the country’s creations and culture. The company, founded around one year ago, was chosen to take part in the North American and French editions of Premiere Vision, one of the largest trade shows in the segment, providing a first look at seasonal trends. “We worked hard in these first eight months for this to become a reality, but we never imagined we would be able to do it in this time. All of our efforts now are to overcome the challenge of representing Brazilian design well,” he says in conclusion.
