Parana Business Collection moves R$11 million in business
In its latest edition, Parana Business Collection (PBC) moved about R$ 11 million in business for the fashion market. The event, which took place from November 6 to 10, was conducted by the Federation of Industries of Parana in partnership with Sebrae-PR and with support of Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program), developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brazil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency). The project invited an Argentine journalist, Victoria Lescano, of Pagina 12 Newspaper, to attend the event and learn more about the fashion of Brazil’s South Region.
For Marcelo Surek, coordinator of the Apparel Council of Fiep, the intention is to consolidate PBC as a southern fashion event and to insert within it companies from Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul. Approximately 50 brands presented their A/W collections in the Event Center of Fiep, in Curitiba.
Campgnolo Edson, president of Fiep, believes that the industry is becoming professionalized, with investments in technology and innovation aiming to compete with strong brands of the fashion market, besides promoting internationalization. “Companies must be prepared to compete here and abroad at a time when our borders are wide open to imported products,” he says.
