Patricia Bonaldi showcases A/W 2013 collection inspired by India

03/04/2013

On the evening of last Thursday (01.31), The Brazilian Museum of Sculpture (MuBE) received the acclaimed runway show of stylist Patricia Bonaldi from Minas Gerais, which presented her innovations for the A/W 2013 collection. With two brands, one bearing her name and another called Pat Bo, the catwalk was filled with glitter and sophistication before an audience of about 250 people. The Patricia Bonaldi brand is participant of Texbrasil – Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), and now sells to over 20 countries, with special focus at Harrods in London.

The famous party dresses of the brand were inspired by the Indian culture and by the circus universe. Patricia Bonaldi showcased pieces with Indian fabrics and elements in lace, with light transparencies and lots of embroidery. Long skirts were accompanied by cropped blouses. As to the other items, they were crafted with Swarovski crystals. The colors, always vibrant, were in shades of orange, green, pink and ocher.

Referring to the circus universe, Pat Bo stormed the catwalks with lots of lace, stones and enameled materials, with a mix of fabrics that created a unique trim in the pieces.  Pink, red, gold and blue were the chosen colors.

Barbie was honored with three models specifically designed to be exposed during the entire presentation. Tulle, sparkles and prairies shaped the doll outfits.
