Playtime & Kid’s Hub: Brazilian kid’s fashion brands return to New York with signature collections and a focus on business

08/22/2025

Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), supported another Brazilian company’s participation in Playtime & Kid’s Hub, one of the leading B2B events dedicated to kid’s fashion in the United States. The event took place from July 27 to 29, 2025, bringing together qualified suppliers and buyers at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York.

In this edition, four national brands — Camu Camu, Dalai, Planet Sea, and Vacanza — represented the export potential of Brazilian kid’s fashion. With proposals that combine design and production quality, the companies stood out for their collections that connect with childhood in an original and contemporary way.

Main results of Brazil’s participation in the trade show:
106 contacts were established, 66 of which were new, resulting in over US$ 180,000 in business deals closed during the event, in addition to the expectation of generating approximately US$ 240,000 over the next 12 months.

Even in the face of the new tariffs applied to the industry, Brazilian companies noticed receptiveness from international buyers, who showed genuine interest in getting to know and doing business with the participating brands.

Participation in this July edition continues the history of Brazilian presence at Playtime & Kid’s Hub, which has already had several editions supported by Texbrasil. Compared to the February 2025 edition, there was an increase in visibility, networking, and business generation, highlighting the maturation of Brazil’s presence in the international kid’s fashion scene.

“The return to Playtime is strategic. Brazilian brands have been building strong relationships with the American market and reaping the benefits of this connection,” comments Adriana D’Agostini – Commercial Promotion Manager at Texbrasil.

In addition to commercial opportunities, the event stands out for fostering connections with opinion makers, representatives of multi-brand boutiques, and major retailers, as well as for highlighting relevant trends for the kid’s fashion sector, such as the appreciation of original creativity, the diversity of styles and categories, the commitment to ESG practices, and the expansion of genderless fashion for kids.
