08/13/2026

Brazils participation in Playtime New York 2026 reinforced the presence of national childrens fashion in the international market. Between July 26 and 28, seven companies participated in the fair with the support of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program), a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

During the three-day event, brands presented their collections, held meetings with international buyers, and explored new business opportunities, primarily with representatives from North and Central America. Participation generated expectations of US$ 625,000 in business, including immediate earnings and negotiations forecast for the next 12 months.

This was the fifth consecutive participation of Brazilian companies in Playtime New York with the support of Texbrasil. The companies Camu-Camu, Dalai Kids, Das Meninas, Lilies & Roses, Melissa Mini, Planet Sea, and Vacanza used the fair to expand their international visibility, follow the main trends in the childrens market, and strengthen relationships with buyers and strategic partners.

Even in the face of the current import tariff scenario in the United States, this edition reported the highest number of participating Brazilian brands in the history of the partnership between Texbrasil and Playtime New York. The decision to maintain and expand our presence in the North American Market reinforces the strategic importance of the country for Brazilian companies, both for its consumption potential and the relevance of its market for building
business relationships and international positioning.

According to Letícia Kamei, commercial promotion coordinator at Texbrasil, Playtime New York is an important showcase for Brazilian childrens fashion: “The trade fair connects Brazilian brands with specialized buyers and allows us to showcase the unique features of our products to a qualified audience. In addition to the business opportunities generated during the event, this presence strengthens the companies positioning in the international market and contributes to building relationships that can lead to new business deals over the coming months”.
