Portal “Learning to Export: Apparel” now online
The Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC), in partnership with the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (Abit), launched the portal “Learning to Export: Apparel”. This tool aims to promote learning about topics related to exports, serving users with different levels of knowledge and interest in the subject.
On the portal, users can access everything from introductory topics, such as “why export?”, to detailed technical content on the operationalization and stages of an export, as well as curiosities and historical facts. In 2023, Abit was invited by the MDIC’s Department of Export Promotion and Trade to create an exclusive space for the apparel segment within “Learning to Export”.
After months of development, the portal is now available for public use. Users will find basic information on the industry, data on employment, production and export of clothing in Brazil, and relevant topics such as sustainability, trade agreements, technical requirements and certifications common in the industry. The portal also offers guidance on where to seek support and training and qualification to start exporting and access international markets.
