[Pre] Coterie: eight Brazilian brands take part in American trade show
The next edition of [Pre] Coterie is taking place June 10 to 12 in New York City, in the USA. Eight Brazilian brands will be exhibiting at the womenswear apparel and accessories show: Adriana Degreas, Charmosa Swimwear, Skazi, Nannacay, Rosa Cha, Serpui Marie, Maria Sanz and Sinesia Karol – supported by Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) and by Fashion Label Brasil, programs respectively run through partnerships between Abit (Brazilian Association of the Textile and Apparel Industry) and Abest (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers) with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
One of the goals of [Pre] Coterie is to show collections to qualified buyers from the fashion world prior to Coterie, a traditional industry show held in September. This year, the Brazilian brands at the show are being highlighted by the event organizers, with a special focus on resort collections.
According to Texbrasil’s Executive Manager, Lilian Kaddissi, taking part in the event is a great way to guarantee publicity for Brazilian fashion in an important and competitive market like the United States. “Our resort wear is famous in the country. For years, we’ve taken part in the market’s most traditional events; however, at [Pre] Coterie we have a chance to show our brands’ collections to this demanding segment,” she explains.
