Premiere Vision New York ends with good results for Texbrasil companies
The fourth edition of one of the most important showrooms on the international circuit, Premiere Vision Nova York, came to a close last Wednesday (July 22). Attending this edition were two member brands of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency): Savyon, a circular knit fabric manufacturer, and print design studio Elaia. Together, the companies did around USD 38,000 in business and expect to bring in USD 800,000 in the next 12 months.
The show, which gathers design and print studios and manufacturers of fabrics, circular knit fabrics and supplies, was attended by over 4,200 professionals. Laurent Prout, who was at the event representing Savyon, says that the demand for new products only reinforces the fact that the industry is once again growing. “We had very good sales at the stand and we made new contacts as well. Clients are looking for unique products that have high added-value, and our circular knit fabrics are a perfect fit for this segment. Transparency, sheen, large geometric designs and florals were the concepts that drew the most attention,” says Prout.
PVNY marked Estudio Elaia’s second time at an international event. The company, which was founded with the aim of international growth, recognizes that taking part in a show abroad requires significant planning, but the effort is worth it. “More than selling our prints, we were able to learn a lot during the two days of PVNY, especially in relation to the profile of North American buyers, a public that we are aiming to sell to. Our products had a great reception from major labels, including Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Pacsun, Robert Graham and Delta Gail USA, and we already have an agent representing the studio in the United States,” says Julio Cesa, the company’s CCO.
The next edition of PVNY is set for January 19 to 20, 2016.
