Premiere Vision NY: Berlan and Savyon expect to do USD 1.8 million in sales
From July 16 to 17, two Brazilian companies arrived in New York City for Première Vision NY, the North American version of the traditional Paris event. Together, the Berlan textile and Savyon knitted fabric manufacturers did USD 150,000 in sales. Expectations for the next 12 months are even better: 1.8 million in business. The companies took part in the event with the support of Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – the result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
The F/W edition of the show featuring trends in fabrics, design, inputs and accessories gathered 300 exhibitors from around the world, with 120 of these work exclusively with textiles. This is Savyon’s fifth time in a row at the show and Berlan’s second time.
During the two days at the platform, the companies together made 51 contacts with international buyers specializing in textiles. According to Lilian Kaddissi, the Program’s Executive Manager, the companies’ results illustrate how consecutive participation in segment events generates business for Brazilian companies.
“Berlan and Savyon have been investing in the North American market for some time and their efforts have created connections with buyers and, consequently, sales results,” she explains.
