Première Vision Sao Paulo ends edition with international coverage

01/23/2014

Yesterday (Jan. 22), the S/S 2015 edition of Première Vision São Paulo came to an end at Expo Center Norte – SP. The trade show brings together domestic and international filaments, fabrics and accessories companies and is split into five areas: Denim & Sportswear, City & Glam, Yarns & Fibers, Design Studios (prints) and Accessories (notions). At this edition, Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, executed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil) brought a group of four Latin journalists, in addition to nine international buyers, from countries including: Turkey, Peru and Colombia. The aim was to strengthen ties with Brazilian companies and promote business in the industry.

Three Argentinean and one Colombian journalist provided complete, first-hand coverage of the event in Sao Paulo: Florencia Brunetto (Harper’s Bazaar – Argentina), Dario Varela (Moda y Estilo – Web TV Argentina), Monica Felix (Moda y Estilo – Web TV Argentina) and Mariana Ramirez Vidal (El Colombiano – Colombia).

“I thought the world of the event was very rich and diversified. I’ve been to many fashion conferences and none of them showed the trends for a collection in such a clear and complete manner,” said Florencia Brunetto, a reporter for Harper’s Argentina magazine, which was at the event for the first time.

On the first day, the press members attended a press conference for the “Trend Vision Sao Paulo” conference and the “When art joins fashion” debate. On the second day, the journalists took a guided tour of the trade show and also participated in a lunch with event executives.
