Press from Europe, the USA and Colombia approves Dragao Fashion
In the last week (April 13 to 18), the capital of Ceara was invaded by fashionistas who visited the city to check out the 15th edition of Dragao Fashion Brasil. The fashion week, which acts as a platform for launching new talent and values the typical Brazilian hand-made products, received coverage of eight journalists from Germany, Spain, France, England, the United States and Colombia. The presence of the international guests was promoted by Texbrasil (Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program), developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
The professionals were enchanted by the beauty of Brazil and by the country’s production. In the lineup, there were collections of designers like Lino Villaventura, Weider Sileiro, Jadson Raniere and Lindeberg Fernandes.
“In Colombia, we greatly admire the Brazilian production. The showcased pieces would certainly be very successful there”, said journalist Pilar Carreno of the magazine InFashion. For the French journalist Elisabeta Tudor, who contributes to vehicles such as the website Now Fashion and the magazines Standard and Material Girls, one of the highlights of the event is to show the Brazilian differential. “I’ve attended previous Brazilian fashion weeks and it was possible to see that here there is an appreciation of original works”, he says.
Besides visiting the fashion week of Ceara, journalists visited stores of local designers and met the Conexao Solidaria project (Solidarity Connection), which enables artisans to use the technique to create pieces with design and sustainability, among other attributes.
