The website of the Certification of Quality and Sustainability of  the Textile and Fashion Industry, Qual Seal, created by Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) – through the Brazilian Fashion Industry Export Program (Texbrasil) – and ABDI (Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development), has now an area dedicated to the textile and fashion industries.

Companies interested in obtaining the seal can search information, know certified companies and download a brochure with directions on how to start the certification process at Qual Seal. They also find information about specific capabilities for this purpose.

The seal is expanding to other segments aiming to reach the entire industry. “The intent is to make it a market differential factor, showing the real importance of adhering to sustainable techniques. Thus, certified companies gain competitiveness, ensuring that they are committed to the standards of environmental conservation, respect for the environment and the legislation”, says Rafael Cervone, CEO ofTexbrasil.

The preference for companies that meet technical standards of quality, environment and social responsibility is a global trend that increases daily basis, with consumers increasingly demanding. Certification is a way to indicate that the company or the product conforms to the standards and therefore is committed to the customer satisfaction.
