Recco launches first lingerie line with Amni Soul Eco at Salao Moda BR

06/22/2015

Recco, a beachwear and underwear brand, is the first company to launch a lingerie collection using Amni Soul Eco, a biodegradable polyamide yarn produced by Rhodia. The items were made using Berlan fabrics and the line includes panties, kaftans and pajamas. The official launch of the new products is taking place at Salao Moda Brasil, a fashion show taking place from June 21 to 23, in Sao Paulo.

For the Myrian Recco, the Creative Director of the company, which is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), one of the main goals is preserving the environment. “With this collection, we want to raise awareness among our consumers of the importance of acquiring environmentally-friendly products,” she says.

Amni Soul Eco yarn has an enhanced formulation that allows clothes made of it to quickly decompose when they are discarded in a landfill, which makes it ideal for production of lingerie, which is usually not donated for secondhand use.

For Renato Boaventura, the President of the global area of the Solvey business group, this partnership represents the joining of companies such as Rhodia, Berlan and Recco and a commitment to the environment. “We already have an important partnership on other products made using Amni and we hope that this is yet another very successful and long-lasting partnership,” says Boaventura.
