Renan Serrano creates shirts to support fashion in Brazil
Renan Serrano, Creative Director of the Trendt, has been asked to create a series of shirts for the “I love Fashion, I love Brazil” project.
“It was very gratifying to take part in the project, since it shows that the market is open to new designers,” says Serrano. Trendt was in charge of developing patterning, cutting, sewing and packaging the shirts. “We sewed three hundred shirts in three days, it was amazing!” says Renan.
It has simple construction, with an impeccable fit. An inside collar is silk with a raw edge finish. The print has a soccer ball with a touch of suede and a silk screen created by Pasta & Mix, specializing in fabric prints.” We did a reinterpretation of soccer using the first World Cup (in Uruguay, in 1930),” says Renan. The items were manufactured in 60.1 thread cotton fabric – developed by the Pettenati textile production company – and were finalized with a Trendt tag.
The initiative was idealized by the Luminosidade group and on May 20, the official launch was held for the project’s campaign video. The short film gives a play by play of the clothes being made, just like a soccer announcer.
