Santista Jeanswear introduces directions for F/W 2016

07/14/2015

Santista Jeanswear’s return to the market is coinciding with a major moment for denim, which has been highlighted as a must-have for F/W collections. Inspired by the pure colors of this fabric, the brand invested in intense and deep blue indigos, in addition to black and gray. The new collection is aligned with global trends and offers a silky touch, resin-coated shine and new structures, with comfort being the key word.

The F/W 2016 collection by the brand, which is a member of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), features even more innovations in the development of the product and processes for women. The three product families (Icon, Free and Denim Couture) include a total of 39 items, with 19 new products. New in the Denim Couture family is Haute Touch, with three items: Race, Luster and Duff, fabrics created using special mixes, new fibers and more innovative finishing techniques.

Brand new in the Runway campaign is Bolt, a denim fabric with intense coloring and an ideal fit for items. In high-performance denim, there are the launches in the Tri-blend Technology® Flow and Action line.

For men, new dye colors have been launched, rounding out the Fitness Denim® line with two new items: Cloudy and Brandon. In 100% cotton products, there is diversification of weights, structures and colors, most notably in the launch of the Clark product. In addition to comfort, the collection also features OnTop, also new in the Denim Couture family. New finishes and resin-coated processes are found in three new launches: Candor, Foster and Clint. Touch and shine are the most important features.

Among directions, Santista Jeanswear went with:

Metropolitan – Total denim looks with a deluxe aspect in a non-denim context. Inspired by tailoring, a vintage 1970s feel, a well-cared for minimal look that is deluxe, with a new take on old techniques a focus on shape. Fabrics: Appreciation of Denim Couture®, pure indigo, deep and vibrant tones, smooth surfaces, resins with a subtle sheen. Hand finishes, thick stitching, crisp creases, box pleats, use of vinyl, duo denim combos, geometric cuts and retro buttons.

Kingship – Denim is used to relax and the focus is comfort. A story of familiar and everyday items. Remade & reworn. Broad shapes with simple complexity. Fabrics: New, sustainable attitudes, with a focus on soft touch. Medium and light weights. Heavily washed using traditional techniques, aimed at a vintage effect with a very soft touch. Extremely shredded, shabby and frayed, with patching and a mix of textures.

Vanguard – Denim with raw, eccentric and profound beauty. Highly original and artisanal fashion inspired by the elements and transformed. Brute eccentricity and exaggerated scales. Fabrics: Structured using tactile surfaces. The back is as important as the front. Deep, profound blues, black & grey denim, resin-coated. Extreme textures, resins with shine and surface texture, an oxidized and rusted look, micro splashes, expressive brushstrokes and cut-outs.
