Based on three different cornerstones of inspiration, Cedro Textil is forecasting the top trends in prints for S/S 2015. At a clients-only event that took place from October 29 to November 1, at the factory’s lounge in Sao Paulo, the company featured 38 new designs on worsted and elasticized serge bases idealized by its creative team.  The new prints will be officially introduced to the market in January 2014.

At the preview, three themes chosen for the season were shown: “Orient Express,” which joins the cultural richness of the Orient with western codes through bold design; “Elastic Body,” which prioritizes freedom of movement and performance allied with an urban style inspired by ballet and gymnastics; and “Overload,” which features an overload of information, images and inspirations.

The color portfolio for S/S 2015 includes a mix of pastel tones with more vibrant and dense colors, such as purple and lavender, as well as hints of green and yellow. Floral prints are modernized in overlapping and mixed elements, as are coconut trees reflecting a Brazilian feel in several colors and sizes. Abstract shapes and reinterpreted camouflage also continue to be a strong trend for the year’s warmest season.

Take a look at the summary of trends in the collection.
