Texbrasil and Fashion Label Brasil invite a group of international journalists and buyers to Rio de Janeiro

uv_line_An international group of five journalists and seven buyers is taking part in a business agenda in Rio de Janeiro, from October 16 to 20. The group is travelling at the invitation of the Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) and Fashion Label Brasil programs. These programs are respectively the result of partnerships between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Abest (Brazilian Association of Fashion Designers) with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

In the group of international journalists are Klaus and Shamin Vogel, with Germany’s WeAr Magazine; Lee Carter, with American website Hint; Silvanio Mariani, with Diario Concepción in Chile; and Oscar Daniel Silveira, from Uruguay’s Cronicas.

The buyers are: Masoud Arabian, of New York Look (USA); Raquel Juan Marco, of Bloom (Mexico); Judy Briceno, of Casa Precis (Colombia); Andree-Aude Michaud, of Swim With Mo (France); Eduardo Daud, of Patrol (Paraguay); Maria Jose Pino Egusquiza, of Patrol (Paraguay); Rangel Barreto, of Cell Shop (Paraguay); and Maroa Fernanda Henandez, of Priscila Lab (Colombia).

The fashion professionals are also attending the sixth edition of Veste Rio, promoted by Caderno Ela, published by O Globo newspaper, in partnership with Vogue Brasil magazine and presented by Senac-RJ. The event is taking place from October 17 to 21 and will include 21 Program member companies as participants. Among the brands found at the Veste Rio show are Maria PavanPatricia Viera; Blue Man; Victor Dzenk; Gig; Lucidez; Agua de Coco by Liana Thomaz; ESC; Fabres; Haight; Tai Dai; UMA | Raquel Davidowicz; and Wymann. While MOS Beachwear, Wasabi, Lenny Niemeyer, Martha Reis, Liziane Richter, Farm, CCM and Alessa will be available at the outlet set up for end consumers.

According to Lilian Kaddissi, Executive Manager at Texbrasil, Rio de Janeiro brings together a wide variety of businesses that really represent Brazilian fashion, especially in the beach and casual segments. “This trip is an opportunity for us to do business and publicize Brazil as a hub for the textile and fashion industry. That is why in addition to showing guests the brands at Veste Rio, we also have a very rich agenda, including visits to the Dona Coisa multi-brand store and to the Plant 4.0 at Senai Cetiqt,” she says in closing.
