Texbrasil brands are the stars of WGSN website feature

Every six months, the WGSN website, one of the most recognized international trend bureaus, releases a feature on brands to watch in international fashion. The bureau goes beyond providing a firsthand look at what everyone will be wearing in a few months, pointing a spotlight on rising brands in the fashion world and driving these brands’ reach at the international level.

This semester, the report is geared towards Latin American brands, highlighting member brands of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, developed by Abit in partnership with Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency): Apartamento 03, Lucas Magalhaes, Egrey and GIG Couture. According to the report, these brands have successfully shown significant commercial and international appeal.

Patricia Schettino, of GIG Couture, says that this type of exposure establishes the brand and the product. “It is a stamp of approval for the national and international market. With this, we hope to reach our customers and increase sales,” states Schettino. The Minas Gerais-based brand was also ranked for the second year running by the website as the sixth best brand at SPFW. “We were very happy and proud to receive this news,” says Schettino in closing.
