In early September, two brands from Texbrasil (Brazilian Textile and Fashion Industry Internationalization Program) – a result of a partnership between Abit (Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Exports and Investments Promotion Agency), – participated in the Surf Expo tradeshow, held in Orlando, Florida (USA).

The companies Guria and Rio de Sol presented their novelties at the trade show, that focus on beachwear, fitness, and resortwear. Among the deals made at the event and the forecast for the next 12 months, the brands made USD 230.000, in addition to 62 contacts.

Guria, which already participates in other events in the segment in the United States, such as the SwimShow, celebrated its participation in the tradeshow. According to Camila Ckless, the company’s managing partner, going to the event made it possible to win over new customers, who have already placed orders during the tradeshow. “The event had qualified buyers from various regions of the US and Caribbean, and met our expectations,” she adds.

With a consolidated presence in the country, Guria has its own office and sells directly to retailers in the area.
