The Peruvian capital of Lima is hosting Expotextil Peru 2016 from October 20 to 23, one of the biggest textile industry shows in Latin America, joining fabrics manufacturers and producers of machinery, leather, chemicals, software and accessories from around the world. Attending this edition are Brazilian brands Dalila Textil, Expor Manequins and Santaconstancia, with the support of Texbrasil, the Brazilian Fashion Industry Internationalization Program, the result of a partnership between Abit and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).

Expor Manequins will bring its line of mannequins to the event, with a design adapted to the latest trends and produced using high-tech materials, such as Plex T resin, making them unbreakable, and E Resistant paint, which is nine time more resistant than regular paint. “We already have a lot of meetings scheduled and believe that we will close deals that we have been working on for some time, in addition to finding some new opportunities,” says Marcos Andrade, the president of the company, which currently has showrooms in Mexico and Colombia. “Taking part in Expotextil makes us more competitive, consolidating the brand and generating sales and new customers, while renewing relationships with current customers,” he adds.

Santaconstancia is featuring more environmentally-friendly products, developed through partnerships with suppliers and customers, such as fabrics and knits made using the 6.6 Emana® polyamide smart yarn and biodegradable Amni Soul Eco® nylon, both developed by Rhodia. “These are modern, easy-to-care-for fabrics that are notable for their fit, softness and high quality, and they even come in exclusive prints,” says commercial manager Sandra Lima. Another product from the company is the mosquito-repellant Link-(CO2) Repelente knit in combination with 50+ UV protection against ultraviolet radiation. “Santaconstancia is certified with the Oeko-Tex®100 – Class I seal, certifying that there our products contain no products that are toxic to human skin, including the kids line.”
